I made a paper plane,
I tried to let it fly,
Let it fly up in the air,
Fly like the other paper planes.
I never gave up on letting it fly.
I never abandoned it when it crashed.
But when I saw them flying their planes,
I realized I'm not like them, I never was,
Some credited me as one of them, I never was,
I recognized my plane wasn't as good as theirs.
I never reached the paper plane I flew.
I never was the pilot of the plane.
I threw my plane to the ground, surrendering,
Hoping someone would pick it up,
Hoping someone would apprehend why I made it,
Hoping someone would realize why I dreamed about being its pilot.
No one saw the paper plane that I left,
No one even noticed it on the ground,
No one even realized its purpose,
No one even valued the paper plane I made.
